Am i being reasonable?

so theres this guy and i guess he really likes me but HE wont ask me out he keeps having our mutual friend scott ask me out and i keep saying no and i told scott to tell him that im not gonna go out with him until HE asks me. and scott told me i was being a ***** and i just needed to give dennis a chance. but im trying! hes just to shy to ask me! am i being unreasonable or do u agree that what im doing is good?
