Flavouring shortcrust pastry?

I am doing a cookery project where i have to develop a shortcrust pastry product. my teacher said a good development would be to flavour the pastry. My product is a fruit tart with strawberry and peach so i was just wondering if anyone knew what flavours would work best and could give me any tips on flavouring the pastry, i would really appreciate it thanks xx
