Why are Columbia students such hateful aholes, besides being so liberal that is?

The are not hateful in the truest since of the word. What they are is brainwashed into thinking the United States is the epitome of evil in the world, and if not for American aggression there wouldn't be conflicts and wars, and hence they feel morally superior to someone who volunteered to serve in the 'war machine' and was injured.
