My 4 week old daughter was diagnosed with thrush yesterday, it is only on her tongue and she's been on Nystatin (sp?) for it since yesterday which has been helping a little bit - she's now eating like normal and she's been a little trooper, but I feel so bad for her and can tell it's still bothering her : ( - I just let her suck on an ice cold waschloth which seemed to help some but someone on another site just suggested that giving her her bottle cold might help as well? Not refrigerator cold, but just room temperature. I am tempted to try it (if she'll take it cold) but want to make sure it's safe first? I'm a little nervous about it, I don't want to upset her tummy or risk making her sick. Just want to do anything I can to soothe the pain/itching on her little tongue! Thanks!

My couch cushions need to be cleaned can i wash them in the washer?

My couch cushions are a suede like material and they unzip off of the cushion so they can be removed. I was wondering if i could just wash them in the washer and then put them in the drier or hang dry? And should i use fabric softener or no? They are so dirty and beyond the point of spot cleaning....due to the chaos of having kids :) Please help! Yard projects - rescue horses ?

Literally just got the email so any advise would be fab. Everyone on the yard I'm at has clubbed together and brought 2 horses from an auction the other day. They have now arrived and are in awful condition. A 7 year old shire mare suspected to be in foal and a 9 year old gypsy cob gelding. Both are underweight, bad hooves, cob is nervous of people, mites, matted manes/tails/feather... You get the idea of their condition. The cost of the horses is being shared between 12 of us + yard owner who has given us free DIY livery for them for a year. So basically any advise on how to proceed with them & what we need would be great. Vet is coming out first thing tomorrow and farrier will be out on Monday.

Well me and my child's father were never together just a benefit thing. We didn't get along through much of my pregnancy. Well we barely even talked. Because people prefer to take the risk. I lived in Australia during the last bad fires in the eighties. People are warned time and again about having lush vegetation around their houses but it tends to be the people who are townies really. People who live in the countryside for real always have no trees and very little vegetation and guess what, their houses don't burn down. A gr fire will just rush through and not do much damage. I understand why people like to have all the vegetation because houses often look bare just standing there on an empty plot but if they want lush vegetation they should move to England. You can only have fires where there's something to burn. And I disagree with the person who said we should find ways to prevent fires - you cant change nature you have to change people's behaviour. i have a 93 plymouth sundance and one of the two energy absorbers behind the bumper and im trying to repair it. i have the bolts off for the absorber but it doesnt budge. Does anyone know how i would remove the compressed one or uncompress it? please help thanks

Yeah, I would have done the same. I hate it when the press print negative things about teenage celebrities if they are the slightest bit snappy or rude, and all of sudden they are "unappreciative" and a "diva". Question about the Hoover Floormates?

I recently moved into a 5 bedroom, 2 full bath, 14 room total home that was totally refurbished in 2005 and is now handicap friendly, which includes very nice linoleum throughout the entire home---not one stitch of carpet. I have 5 children; some still small that love messes and I am breaking my back sweeping and mopping all of these rooms all of the time. I have been scouring ebay for the Hoover Floormates, the "sweeping mopping and drying" machines. What I need help figuring out though before I purchase one is that they have about a million different model numbers. Does anyone know which model numbers are "newer", which are "older" or even just which model works the best? Of course with so much area to do I am looking at the widepath models. Portfolio Recovery ociates?

I got a letter in the mail today from Portfolio Recovery ociates concerning a credit card debt that is extremely old. It's basically giving me 3 options for paying back a balance of $1,965.47. My issue is this. While I don't know exactly how old the debt is, I recently browsed my credit reports with all 3 bureaus and nothing shows up as a negative. There is nothing referring to this debt or any debt in this amount on my CR. After having researched what I could on Portfolio Recovery ociates, it seems they have a bad reputation for pulling crap like this. I know the SOL for my state (PA) is 4 years and without a doubt I haven't paid them or anyone towards this account within that time. While, moralistically, I would like to pay this off, I don't know if I can trust them. I now know that nothing of this is showing up on my credit report which means that it's at least 7 years old, correct? Also, if I do pay off what they're offering, won't it STILL reappear on my report as a paid off collections? I know it sounds awful to say, but at that point what sense does it make to pay it? I want to do the right thing, but it seems they set it up to get their money AND screw you over as well. What type of letter(s), if any, should I send them? Cease and desist? Validation of debt? Anything else? Just looking for suggestions on how to go about handling this. I just received it in the mail today and haven't heard from or received anything from them prior. Help?

Can someone please help me with Word Doc Margins?

I have to do MLA formatting for an essay that I'm writing. The MLA format includes having 1 inch margins on the left, right, top and bottom of the page. When I set it up to be 1 inch in page set-up, the bottom doesn't change to 1 inch, it stays at 1.5 inches when I measure it with a ruler. What did you guys thought of the AP English Lang. & Composition exam?

Going into the exam, I was fully prepared to bomb it, my teacher, a very mellow fellow, basically had us color and write poetry the entire year. But I thought I would at least try. It was not as hard as I thought it would be, I mean the multiple choice weren't easy, but they weren't hard, they all seemed to be so similar though I felt like I was reading the same page over and over again. But the essays, I owned them!!!!! The penny essay I rocked it, I talked about the penny being here to stay because of its pyschological value. And that picture of the penny, I started laughing when I realized that was seriously one of the doents, but then I thought about it and threw in some bits about Lincoln, and set up this sweet ogy about severing ties and its impact on the psyche. I used 6 of the 7 doents and threw in a great counter argument where i used the doents to tear each other apart. That was hopefully an 8. The ysis was a 9, I talked about parallelism, repetition, extended metaphor, and rhetorical questions, all supporting the necessary attributes for scientific research. The argument was hopefully an 8, I talked about Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser, and used some other invented situations to support corporations in schools, but only if they do not negatively impact the educational process. I was so happy with my essays, I really thought I was just going to sit there for three hours and catch up on some sleep. But it went really well and I think I have a shot at a 5, I hope everyone did well too:) PS what the hootskies was colloquial? That word made me so mad on the multiple choice.

There's a couple of options I trim mine, but not loads just a trim, my hair always ends up looking half decent. But if your not sure about cutting them, you can put olive oil in the ends, to close them up, my friend did it and it looks fine, but if you do that you need to wash your hair a couple of times with shampoo.

Can i still eat this?

I bought a frozen tarimisu cake, and it was held in a plastic container. It is supposed to thaw, but the oven in my house still retained some heat after it had been broiling some sweet potatoes. So i put the tarimisu in the plastic container in the turned off oven just for a minute. However really quickly, the plastic lid of the tarimisu container statred to shrivel and warp. Is the tarimisu still ok to eat?, or did the heated plastic leak some toxins?

Yes, I think they definitely do. Religion is such a well-established thing now that it's going to take a while for it to go away. Religion is a very pervasive and persistent virus of the mind. Even people who absolutely do realize it's baloney stick with it because they don't know what else to do, or, they have a strong belief in belief itself. They're afraid if they let go of their belief, and no longer profess it to others, they fear their lives will change in scary ways they can't control. They really think that people believing, or professing to believe, is the glue that keeps their world together. They don't care if people actually believe ridiculous religious claims. Most don't. But they believe in belief. Without it, they fear catastrophic collapse of their society. So they perpetuate the myth, they keep pumping life into the poisonous religion meme that warps people's minds from childhood. They seem to find comfort in clinging to the group, playing along, trying to have "faith" despite mive cognitive dissonance. It may just be a dependence on the familiar, and on effective brainwashing that convinces them that not believing is worse than believing.

Hey I recently recieved 2 traffic tickets and a warning last night at a road block. I got a ticket for not having my license on me, and for not having my seat belt on. The warning was for not being able to find my insurance card. The state trooper got several things wrong on these tickets aka me listed as owner of the truck, it saying i had my license in possesion also no signature was taken from me. ok so i went and talked to the navy recruiter and he filled me in on everything the navy does, so my recruiter tells me that as long as you score over a 35 you qualify for the student loan repayment plan. initially i was considering joining the navy reserve and he told me you automatically get 20,000 for that, also in his office he told me jobs i would qualify for...i took the asvab and got a 40...i didnt like it so i took it again and got a 48....so im like im just gonna stick with it cause i dont want my score to get any lower...i also have 54 college credits and im 20yrs old...i have 20,000 in student loans and the navy pays back up to 65,000...so after i took the asvab at meps i went to the hotel to stay overnight and the next day i was scheduled to physical...so when im done the physical and about to go into the navy liason to talk to the clifier, i called my recruiter and he says you didnt qualify for the Student Loan repayment plan and i needed a 50, and that i should just go ahead and join. Basically he lied so i can just sign up. So the clifer told me entirely different jobs that the recruiter told me...and i really didnt like them, and they were trying to pressure me to join and stuff while i was up there..my recruiter told me to find my own way home since i didnt want to join but he eventually came and got me cause i ended up joining because of the pressure. a month later i got out and now im in the air force DEP....did i make a good decision.

Good information and no I'm not surprised at all. I believe many of these 'non-profits' are profitable..nationwide...they make money off the PAPs and also receive many federal grants and subsidies. Okay so last night I cut my ankle Majorly bad while I was shaving.Like a huge hunk of skin was in my razor.Well its pretty deep and pretty gory .When I first cut it The blood literally covered a whole towel in blood.And then 2 wash clothes.After awhile I decided well its not gonna completely stop bleeding so I went ahead and put 4 band-aides on it and some neosporin.It was about 9pm when I put the band-aide and neosporin on it.This morning I got in the shower and when I got out I started trying to Take the band-aide off and and it was stuck!It hurt so bad.Well I realized then that it had bled pretty put all night..There was no dry blood on the band-aide just wet and gewy.I changed the band-aides and neosporin.(this was about at 10am).Could this possibly get infected?Ive never cut myself this bad.On a scale from 1-10 on how bad you can cut yourself shaving id give this one a 8-9 or possibly a 10.How often should I change the band-aides and neosporin?Is there any other medicines I should use to help it heal?Or any special stuff I should put on it?Should I change it again now?Its been about 6 hours since I last changed it and washed it with a cold wet ragg.Thanks ALOT!

Losing my voice- dry- mucusy throat help, what do you recommend?

Ive taken Tylenol for sore throat, that did nothing. i took theraflu for congested and cold ,but that did nothing. I already went to the dr and she prescribed amoxicillian and i took it for 2 days and nothing happened . My throat has gotten worse. it all started with my throat hurting , then that went away and the cold came along -headache, earache,sneezing , runny nose congested. my nose is still congested and my throat has gotten worse. my dr thought i had a sinus infection, but i conquer.

Adult Coeliac: my tummy now swells when I go off my diet?

I am an adult coeliac and was diagnosed when I was an infant - 30 odd years ago. I have no health issues and have been very healthy (no symtoms since diagnosis) most of my life. I mainly stick to my diet and binge the very odd time but there are times that I eat a little bit of gluten occasionally and sometimes unknowingly. Up to now this has not bothered me or presented any symtoms. I have two children and since I had my youngest, she's 2 years old I have begun to show signs again of eating gluten. My question is ... is it normal for your tummy to swell (similiar to 6 or more months pregnant) when otherwise very well coeliacs eat gluten. Its so weird as this has not really happened to me in the past. I've always had a potbelly but what I get now is ridiculous. I am not underweight - I've always been a european size 12 but with my big belly I can now be a size 16 on certain days. I went for a scan of my kidneys, ovarys, pelvis bec of this bloating but could it be coeliac??

Been going to gym for 1month and no results!!?

Fad diets don't work...ever. Only balanced diets with fruits, veggies, protein, and whole grains will help you lose weight and feel good doing it. Look online for the glycemic index food lists, and choose the foods with the low numbers. The two main rules in my food plan (and I've lost 50 pounds) is NO FAST FOOD, AND NOTHING IN A BOX. That takes most of the junk out of your diet. TC

I struggled with these headbands at first too! What I have found that works is just tying the two ribbons in a double knot (no bow -- just overlap and pull tight and repeat). Let the ends hang either down your back (behind your hair, its ok if the ends peek out) or you can let them dangle down the side of your neck. It should look great! Hope this helps you!

Hiii I really need some help, For the first time ever i have ordered a wireless router, to be exact Its a Range-Max wireless-n 150 router wpn824n by NetGear i have purchased it from new-egg.com but the serial number is missing! I have opened a new Internet network using my PCs name and used the security pin located on the back of the router as my security key but i still have no internet access even though my signal picks up and says excellent which im guessing is the wifi on my router..i have tried renewing the ip with the command P. but nothing happens..i cant register my product at netgear without the SN or cannot download the software and this product come with no Cd :/ My windows 7 cannot find a problem so i don't know what to try next please help me with some new ideas or advice, I know their has to be something i am not trying. HP 6735b wont boot, black screen?

I have a HP 6735b that wont boot, the num and caps lock keys flash five times which means a motherboard or other failure. But the other day when it was hit on the keyboard a few times it booted. I completely disembled it to nothing and checked every part including the motherboard for visual faults but found nothing, this all started after it was on stand by and frozen one day. When it booted the other day i also flashed the bios with the latest 2010 version. It ran out of warranty a month ago as well. ive left it on trying to boot all day today and it just booted then but once i turn it off it will do the same, i didnt even touch it when it booted just then. Any ideas?

"Friend" Troubles and in need of help!!!?

This girl (lets call her Giselle) was my friend for all of freshman year and 1/4 of sopre year, until she suddenly screamed at me for no reason at all one day. Hi, this is probably all very silly but I had a miscarriage in december at 6weeks 4days pregnant. On my notes and during the scan the lady didn't sound too sure and kept saying "well it appears you have but can't be sure etc" she also showed me a very visible blob on the screen and said it was broken down tissue which would come away by itself. As I wasn't far I was shocked to how big this already broken down bit looked as I would expect the actual whole baby to be about that size judging from 6/7 week pictures I've seen. In fairness she did tell me to do a test 2 weeks after which I haven't done. Anyway, I haven't had a period more than 11 weeks on, over the past 2 weeks all I've done is throw up and have had to have time off work because of it, and as weird as this sounds I have been getting heartburn which I have never ever experienced before. Is all this just coincidence or could there be something more to it? :s thankyou x

I am trying to write a program to do some calculus, and i got stuck at integrating expressions that are multiplications of multiple functions (like sin(x)*cos(y)*x^3*ln(x) etc), the algorithm for finding the derivative is simple,(sum of multiplications with one derivative per element) but I can't find any good way for integrating. I have never seen integration by parts to be used for more than two factors and its still more of guessing. Any ideas how I can tackle this problem or is it even possible?

I can vouch for Bad Company 2 and Just Cause 2, as I bought both on the 23rd of March (and am now flat broke because of the purchase). But wow, what great games. Just Cause creates what a sandbox style 3rd person shooter should be and Bad Company 2 is just thrilling online. Destructible environment, vehicles, and some realism effects (like bullets falling as it travels due to distance). Also good graphics for a multiplatform game.
